The first batch was a thank you.
Before Tuppka ever went on a shelf, the very first bottles from our line were carried up to Mata Chintpurni and offered — free — at a langar for whoever needed water that day. No banner. No signage. No launch photo. Just water, given away in gratitude before we asked anyone to pay for it.
That gesture belongs to any founder before a first batch: a moment of gratitude and service before commerce. It has stayed the temperament of the brand ever since — and it's the temperament you meet whether you buy a single bottle at a dhaba or a distributorship territory across a state.
A langar, not a launch
Tuppka started as a family enterprise — parents, siblings, a handful of people who cared about doing this right and could look each other in the eye at the end of the day. Setting up a packaged drinking water plant is not glamorous work: it's plumbing, paperwork, permissions, purification, plumbing again.
When the first batch was finally ready — sealed, tamper-tested, batch-printed — we didn't ship it to a distributor. We drove up the hills to Mata Chintpurni and left it at the temple's langar to be handed out to travellers and pilgrims. Some of them had walked hours. All of them needed water. Nobody was asked for anything.
For a Punjab-Himachal family, that path — Chintpurni — is a familiar one. But the gesture is not about which shrine, which faith or which region. It's the older, universal instinct: you thank the day before you start selling to it. A langar is a table where anyone is welcome, and Tuppka wanted to begin its life on a table like that.
No banner. No signage. No launch photo. We didn't post about it on Instagram, and we didn't tell distributors we were doing it. Water for whoever needed it, from a brand that hadn't sold a single bottle yet. That was the point.
“If the first batch was clean enough to give away with a clear conscience, every batch after had a standard to meet.”
— The Tuppka family

From the day of dedication
A bottle from the very first Tuppka batch, held outside the temple. Offered at the langar to whoever needed water that day. Taken by the founder's own hand.
“This is what we came from. It's also what we mean to be, at every scale.”

Under the old banyan tree at the temple complex — the corner where our first batch was set out and handed to whoever needed water that day.
We didn't take a launch photo. We took this one — a bottle in a hand, a pilgrim in the frame, no signage, no announcement. It is what began the brand.
Three quiet promises we still keep
Gratitude before commerce
We don't treat our customers as targets. Every account we open — a dhaba, a hostel, a wedding, a corporate — is a small trust extended to us. The gratitude isn't a marketing line; it's the standard we set for how the team speaks to you.
Every table welcome
A langar table doesn't ask who you are. Neither does Tuppka. Our bottles reach guests of every faith, region and background, and our custom labels have carried names in Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, English and more.
Nothing that would embarrass us
The first batch had to be clean enough to give away with a clear conscience. That's the same test we apply to every batch since: would we still be comfortable handing this out for free?
Trust that shows up every day
To make trusted drinking water the most reliable thing in your day — for every guest at every table, in every home, every function, every route.
A brand India roots for
A water brand India roots for — because when we grow, our distributors, retailers, dhabas, offices and event partners grow with us.
Five short truths
Trust is not a claim
It's a sealed cap, a printed batch, a delivery that showed up on time.
Water is a service, not a product
The bottle is the small part. Reliable supply, honest pricing and a partner who picks up the phone — that's the product.
The trade grows with the brand
Distributors and retailers eat first at Tuppka. If they can't make money, none of this works.
Every occasion deserves a good bottle
A wedding, a langar, a factory floor, a bedside — the bottle should feel like it belongs there.
Local pride, national reach
Deeply rooted in North India, opening up wherever we're welcome.
A drop of trust.
Four words on the label, one promise underneath: whatever the occasion — a shift-start at a factory, a wedding baraat, a hostel warden's round, a distributor's first day on a beat — the bottle in your hand is worthy of it.
